Forte Engineering Ltd delivered the Design & Construction services for the Electrical and Data works for Pantograph Monitoring Equipment at Hyndland, Glasgow.

Works included the production of detailed design & construction of the LV electrical system and the data communications link between the scanners and the Pantoinspect server.

Data

  • Installation of GSM router and associated POE switches
  • Data links between the scanner and Pantoinspect server
  • Installation & commission of the RFID equipment to identify trains
  • Configuration of the weather station and web camera equipment
  • New copper and fibre cabling installation and commissioning.

Electrical

  • New LV supply connection to Power the Pantoinspect Data cabinet.
  • Earthing & Bonding; this included a fully design solution with the existing station.
  • LV supply cabling to each scanner

  • Test & Commission to BS7671:2018
