We offer a wide range of construction services from off-site fabrication and delivery to site implementation and sub-contractor management:
Off-Site Fabrication: We will manufacture and fit-out GRP and steel equipment housings, containers and cubicles for electrical switchgear, transformers, backup power supplies, lighting control and telecoms equipment before managing delivery, offloading and positioning on pre-cast and poured in-situ foundations on site.
Site Establishment: We will support project delivery from initial site establishment with temporary power supply arrangements for site cabins and welfare, security and construction lighting and battery charging facilities for tools and point to point radios.
DNO Supply Connections: We will liaise with local utilities and their appointed sub-contractors to facilitate permanent electrical connections to the approved design. We will coordinate on-site cable routes to avoid clashes with other services.
Cable Routes and Containment: We will coordinate the installation of cable containment and cabling with other disciplines to ensure segregation of electrical and telecoms services is maintained throughout the installation. We will support any builderwork or fireproofing required for service penetrations within buildings.
Signalling Power Supplies: We will manage the procurement, delivery, offloading and positioning of all signalling power equipment and cabling including PSPs and FSPs. We will arrange suitable access for Road Rail Vehicles (RRVs) including possession and isolation of 25kV OLE. We will prepare and submit signalling and telecoms disconnection notices in a timely manner to suit planned changeover works.
Points Heating: We will install points heating control cubicle, transformers, trackside connection boxes, temperature probes, strips, clips and heat retainers to approved design and current standards to suit the installed S&C. We will plan our works around any broader construction programme and seasonal requirements for points heating operation to minimise downtime of the installation.
Station Power and Lighting: We will arrange station access and undertake all station works in a manner which minimises disruption to passengers and the operational railway. We will install all low voltage switchgear, power distribution cabling, lighting, central battery systems, electric vehicle chargers, solar photovoltaics and other electrical services and equipment to approved design in line with current best practice.
Station Telecoms, Fire and Security: We will ensure the installation of SISS telecoms, fire and security services and equipment including CCTV, CIS, LLPA, fire detection and alarm and door access equipment is installed in a compliant manner with adequate segregation from other electrical services. We will engage with our trusted partners to install some specialist equipment including fire and evacuations systems under the supervision of our experienced site managers and site supervisors.
Mechanical Services: We will engage with our trusted partners to install any mechanical services including heating, ventilation and air conditioning, hot and cold water distribution, train watering points and piped gravity drainage under the supervision of our experienced site managers and site supervisors.
All installation works will be undertaken in accordance with BS7671 18th Edition and current Network Rail, Rail Group, British and International Standards.
